In the midst of all the data and indicators she notes down, one sentence stands out in her notebook: “Work is not only a means to earn a living, but a social transformation”. It has been incredible, I have been treated very well and I have had a lot of support from my Human Resources team and my colleagues. The culture at ALMA embodies the values of respect, diversity and inclusion, you can see that everyone is very respectful, polite and values the differences in others. However, there is a need to work on diversity and inclusion training and unconscious bias. This is very common in an organization that has not previously worked on these issues, in order to strengthen an inclusive culture.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”3_5,2_5″ _builder_version=”4.19.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_column type=”3_5″ _builder_version=”4.19.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.19.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_orientation=”left” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”]\u00bfY en cuanto al C\u00f3digo de \u00c9tica y Conducta?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yo creo que la mayor\u00eda lo conoce y sabe que hay ciertas actitudes que no se van a tolerar, pero s\u00ed creo que hay que ser m\u00e1s transparente en torno a los resultados de las investigaciones porque al menos lo que nos muestra la encuesta es que hay una sensaci\u00f3n de que no es lo suficientemente estricto. En ese sentido me parece importante instalar una cultura de cero tolerancia a la discriminaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 impresi\u00f3n te dejaron los resultados de la encuesta?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It left me satisfied, I think it is a good basis to continue working on everything that is to come. What the survey showed is that there are a lot of facilitators and promoters of diversity issues, and that also makes me happy because deep down I know that I am not going to work alone. Hopefully those promoters will also become true active ambassadors of diversity and inclusion. Well, now we are going to deliver the results of the survey, but in terms of legal compliance, the first thing is to accredit the people with disabilities who already work at ALMA, by the end of the year. Of course, that gives us the basis for all the work that is going to be done from now on, which is to go a little further in legal requirements. It’s not just saying “Ah, this is our value”, but “this is the heart of the organization, the DNA of ALMA”. And that it covers everything, such as generations, sexual diversity, that we will not tolerate any type of discrimination against these priority groups.
