Mientras desarmaba computadores en su adolescencia, Camila Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> descubri\u00f3 una pasi\u00f3n que la acerc\u00f3 a las estrellas. \u201cEra la t\u00e9cnica de mi familia\u201d, dice sonriente nuestra ingeniera del equipo de Software del Departamento de Computaci\u00f3n de ALMA<\/strong> en v\u00edsperas de que se conmemore, el 11 de febrero, el D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer y la Ni\u00f1a en la Ciencia.<\/p>\n

Este joven talento fue una de las mujeres reconocidas por el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnolog\u00eda, Conocimiento e Innovaci\u00f3n para ser parte de Inspiradoras<\/strong>, una colecci\u00f3n de cuadernillos que re\u00fane la biograf\u00eda de 24 investigadoras chilenas del mundo STEM, siglas en ingl\u00e9s de ciencia, tecnolog\u00eda, ingenier\u00eda y matem\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, our Temuco-born engineer met again with a professor from her university and was able to talk with the Minister of Women and Gender Equity, Antonia Orellana, about the need to advance in equal conditions for gender equity in science. “I told her that at ALMA we are making progress on this issue.”<\/p>\n

Camila has been a protagonist and witness of how the reality of women in STEM is breaking barriers: “This path is opening up, it is being shown to the world and that is great”. A machine to reach space. That was the dream Tatiana L\u00f3pez had when she was just a child. And she achieved it. De all\u00ed el honor de ser reconocida para Inspiradoras. \u201cMotivar a j\u00f3venes en STEM le aporta un significado m\u00e1s profundo a esta distinci\u00f3n\u201d, a\u00f1ade.<\/p>\n
