El pasado 23 de junio conmemoramos el D\u00eda de la Mujer en la Ingenier\u00eda<\/strong>, una importante fecha para nuestro observatorio y para la ciencia, que busca destacar la valiosa contribuci\u00f3n de las mujeres en este campo.<\/p>\n

En ese sentido, Fabiola Norambuena, nuestra Software Engineer Trainee<\/strong>, ha sido una fuente de inspiraci\u00f3n para que muchas j\u00f3venes sigan el camino de la ingenier\u00eda. Recientemente fue invitada a exponer en la inauguraci\u00f3n del programa \u201cYo Quiero Ser Ingeniera\u201d de la Universidad de la Frontera, destinado a acercar a las alumnas de tercero y cuarto medio de la Regi\u00f3n de la Araucan\u00eda al quehacer de la ingenier\u00eda y las ciencias.<\/p>\n

Fabiola es la primera Ingeniera Civil F\u00edsica de esa casa de estudios. Por eso su testimonio, en que cont\u00f3 sobre su participaci\u00f3n en la Fundaci\u00f3n Melton, su experiencia universitaria y su inter\u00e9s en la astronom\u00eda que la llev\u00f3 a ALMA, fue muy valioso para las j\u00f3venes. \u201cLo que quise transmitirles a las chicas, es el saber identificar las oportunidades y ser lo suficientemente valiente para tomarlas\u201d, dice Fabiola.<\/p>\n

Sus compa\u00f1eros de ALMA la apoyaron en todo momento: \u201cNuestro equipo est\u00e1 dispuesto y feliz de participar en todas aquellas iniciativas que est\u00e1n focalizadas a contribuir a la diversidad y balance de g\u00e9nero en el \u00e1rea. Fabiola ha demostrado ser una importante contribuci\u00f3n para nuestro equipo y confiamos en que su historia haya sido un motivante para todas aquellas j\u00f3venes que se sienten atra\u00eddas por el \u00e1rea de ingenier\u00eda\u201d, complementa Rub\u00e9n Soto, nuestro Software Operations Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, Fabiola inst\u00f3 a las j\u00f3venes a confiar en sus habilidades y capacidades \u201cy siempre estar aspirando a mucho m\u00e1s de lo que se piensa, porque una siempre es m\u00e1s capaz de lo que cree\u201d, concluye.<\/p>\n

Comer<\/strong>: Mi plato favorito es el Baingan Mirch Salan, que es un guiso de berenjena con salsas y especias que se puede comer en el restaurante Saffron Indian Delicacies, ubicado en Santiago.<\/p>\n

Seguir \/ Admirar<\/strong>: Admiro la capacidad de las personas que logran alcanzar un equilibrio en sus vidas. El equilibrio de ser capaces de alcanzar sus propias nociones de \u00e9xito en el \u00e1mbito profesional, y tambi\u00e9n de haber sido capaces de identificar la importancia del desarrollo emocional y personal.<\/p>\n

Hacer \/ Practicar<\/strong>: Soy fan eterna del b\u00e1squetbol, aprender idiomas y la m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n

Viajar<\/strong>: Recuerdo el viaje que realic\u00e9 a India en el 2019. Y sue\u00f1o con poder visitar un pa\u00eds \u00e1rabe, como Egipto o Palestina.<\/p>\n
