On the occasion, our Temuco-born engineer met again with a professor from her university and was able to talk with the Minister of Women and Gender Equity, Antonia Orellana, about the need to advance in equal conditions for gender equity in science. “I told her that at ALMA we are making progress on this issue.”<\/p>\n Camila has been a protagonist and witness of how the reality of women in STEM is breaking barriers: “This path is opening up, it is being shown to the world and that is great”. That was the dream Tatiana L\u00f3pez had when she was just a child. And she achieved it. Transiting between Earth and the stars has been “a path marked by effort and perseverance”, summarizes Tatiana. Hence the honor of being recognized for Inspiradoras. “Motivating young people in STEM brings a deeper meaning to this distinction,” she adds.
